Information about the electric bikes:
Model Buddy Bike X1
Buddy X1 is a Norwegian-developed premium electric bike designed by Eker Design. The X1 frame is the world's first injection-molded carbon composite frame with a motor adapter that enables the use of multiple drive systems. It is made from recycled carbon composite and can be recycled. An introduced deposit scheme of NOK. 1.500,- ensures recycling of the frame.
Buddy X1 has a powerful motor from German Sachs (112 Nm) and a 48V battery from BMZ (650Wh). Belt drive and a closed gear system reduce the need for maintenance. It is therefore well suited to year-round cycling.
Recommended routes
IN Fjærland The roads are mostly quite flat, but there are a few inclines into some side valleys. But with good electric bikes from Buddy Bikes, it's no problem to get around easily.
From pick-up points near Fjærland Fjordstove Hotel or Norwegian Glacier Museum Is it nice to ride a bike?
1. Northeast to Supphellebreen on a glacier safari (via Bøyum or Våteviki).
To get to Supphellebreen, cross National Road 5 right next to Norwegian Glacier Museum and cycle through Våteviki, or cross National Road 5 at Bøyum over the Skeisbrui bridge towards Supphelledalen.
2. Southwest on the fjord route all the way to Jordal.
3. Sidedalane with the climbing routes in Mundalsdalen with a relatively gentle climb or Horpedalen with a steeper climb.
IMPORTANT: AVOID Road 5 northwards in Bøyadalen! This road is heavily trafficked with an 80 km/h zone where cars and larger vehicles travel at high speeds.
Feel free to use Google Maps, Komoot or another mapping solution you prefer to plot your destination.
Enjoy your electric bike ride :)
