School visits and excursions

We offer academic programs for pupils and students, and tailor programs in consultation with teachers. With us, you can combine teaching in the museum with an excursion to the glacier shaped landscape in Fjærland.

Information about prices and opening hours can be found here.

Perhaps the world's most beautiful outdoor classroom

We have several educational programs for pupils and students that are suitable both in the museum and out in the glacier shaped landscape. The museum's own nature guide works with teaching and communication aimed at pupils, students, children and the general public.

In all cases, teachers should clarify the teaching plan in advance so that it can be adapted to the individual class or group in the best possible way. We are very flexible in the programs we offer and welcome all pupils, students and teachers to visit us for a professionally interesting visit.

Contact us to book an academic program:

  • Nature guide: Pål Hage Kielland, Master in Physical Geography and glacier guide

  • Tel: 410 28 363/ 57 69 32 88

  • E-mail: pgk@bre.museum.no

PS: If the nature guide is busy with other classes or groups, or does not have the opportunity to contribute, we can help with teaching materials so that teachers can carry out the program themselves.
