Norwegian Glacier Museum publishes and develops teaching materials that can be used in connection with museum visits and in the classroom.

  • "Climate in Change" by Karen Weichert was published on Norwegian Glacier Museum in July 2009. The booklet is 32 pages (A5) and provides a good introduction to how climate systems work. The booklet deals with the Earth's climate in the past, present and future, and describes how and why it changes. Both natural and man-made changes are discussed. Fine pictures and figures in color. On sale at Norwegian Glacier Museum for NOK 60,-. There is a discount when ordering a class set! Shipping is additional.

  • "Ei verd av is" by Ole G. Karlsen, 24 p, published by Norwegian Glacier Museum and Aschehoug, 1992. The booklet tells about the last ice age period, glaciers and glacier erosion, glacier landscapes and melting after the last ice age. Class sets are sponsored by Norwegian Glacier Museum . Shipping is additional.

The school's climate report

Reports from pilot projects can be sent by email.

"The school's climate report". A teaching program for secondary school students in the school's local environment. The program was developed with support from the Norwegian Environment Agencythrough "Den Naturlege Skulesekken", and is a result of collaboration with Firda vidaregåande skule, 4H Sogn og Fjordane, Sogn og Fjordane Fylkeskommune and UWC (United World College) in Fjaler.
