Collective transport
The Norwegian Glacier Museum is located in Fjærland - the area surrounding the Fjærlandsfjord, an arm of the Sognefjord. By travelling by public transport, you can get to Fjærland from Oslo and Bergen by bus via road number 5 and it is a short distance to Skei or Sogndal. The bus stop is close to the museum.
Travel times to Fjærland from:
Skei: less than ½h (car - 28 km)
Sogndal: just over ½h (car - 34 km)
Bergen: 4-5t (car or bus)
Oslo: 6-8t (bus/car via Lærdal)

Passenger boat on Fjærlandsfjorden
The fjord and glacier cruise route on the Fjærlandsfjord runs between Fjærland, Balestrand and Vik in June, July, August and September (September 15).
This is a passenger boat with connections to Sogndal/Flåm and Bergen.
Getting here
The glacier bus
The bus leaves Mundal quay at 13.30 every day in the period 01.06-15.09. It corresponds with the tourist boat from Balestrand.
The bus goes to Bøyabreen Glacier and stops at the Norwegian Glacier Museum along the way
In high season there is an English-speaking guide on board the bus.
