This part of Norwegian Glacier Museum is called "Changing climate - from past to future", or more simply "The Climate Exhibition".

In the first part of the exhibition, you can learn about natural climate change. You will be taken on a journey through time from the creation of the atmosphere five billion years ago to periods on Earth where natural climate change has led to both much warmer and much colder climates than we have today.

Then humans began to influence the climate...

The second half of the exhibition is about the climate change we are already facing today, and the future of our planet. Experience the consequences and see the challenges humanity will face, but also learn that there is hope for a better future if we change our habits.

Finally, Sir David Attenborough concludes the climate exhibition by saying:

"There is still time to act. Earth is the only home we have!"

Umoe AS v/Jens Ulltveit-Moe provided significant funds for the climate exhibition, together with a number of other actors (see list further down the page), which was completed in 2007. After upgrades in 2025, Jens Ulltveit-Moe is still an important supporter through the Umoe Climate Foundation.
