The Norwegian Glacier Museum opens its doors with a new exhibition this season

Have you heard about the plane that crashed on Bøyabreen in 1972? We are opening a new exhibition about the discovery of the wreckage.

The museum presents "The plane in Bøyabreen - 49 years in the ice". This exhibition tells the story of the plane and the discovery of the wreckage made in 2021.

We'll also be showing the spectacular panoramic film about Jostedalsbreen National Park, and you can't miss our interactive and holistic climate exhibition.

Opening hours are 10:00 - 16:00 every day in April and May. Throughout the summer (June, July, August) we are open every day 09:00 - 19:00. In September and October, the opening hours are the same as in April and May. For visits outside of regular opening hours, it is possible to visit for groups and on special occasions. Feel free to ask us!

Welcome to us and Fjærland in 2022 :)

This is what it looks like at the Norwegian Glacier Museum at 10 am on April 1, 2022.
